Welcome to the Residence at Daniel Webster’s NEW Shared Community Calendar! We created this shared calendar to allow people in the local community (Merrimack, Nashua, Manchester and surrounding areas) to post their events that they think others may be interested in. We hope you will all enjoy this calendar and utilize it so it becomes a one-stop way to find out about the many terrific events taking place in the community. So go ahead and add, browse and enjoy! If you have an idea about how we could improve this format, we would love to hear about it. Please contact us with your ideas or call. You can either e-mail us at mboyd@dfi.cc or call us at 617-227-0893 ext. 653
Welcome to the Earth Day 5k and 3k trail run or walk to benefit Beaver Brook Association and organized by the Rivier University Biology Club.
All profits from the race will go to benefit Beaver Brook Association as they continue to maintain an amazing set of natural areas and produce educational programs. Because of COVID, the race will be semi-virtual or virtual this year.
The 5k and 3k courses will be marked and maps will be available on this site and you can run or walk one or both courses anytime between Friday, April 23rd and Monday, April 26th. You can also run the race virtually by choosing any 3k or 5k route you enjoy. We ask everyone to submit their times, the course they ran, and a Strava or similar map of the course over email (reminders will be sent closer to race day) by Tuesday, April 27th at 5pm. We will post finishing times on-line later that week.
In the spirit of Earth Day, the first 100 registrants will receive a reusable grocery bag with the Earth Day logo on it (picture coming soon). We will also have fun raffle prizes that registrants can win. Both the 5k and 3k share a start/finish point and the initial sections of both courses start on a wide, well-maintained trail. From there, the 5k diverts onto narrower and more technical trails (say hello to some roots, rocks and a couple of steep hills). The 3k is less technical and less hilly.
Tickets are $25.
