Hotel Near Skiing & Snowboarding in New Hampshire

We’re in the heart of the ski season here in New Hampshire, which happens to be one of the best places in the country to take to the slopes. With a comfortable and well-appointed perch at the Residences at Daniel Webster, you’re right at the hub of a fantastic spread of top-grade New England ski and snowboard areas. Here are a few prime examples within easy reach!

McIntyre Ski Area (50 Chalet Ct, Manchester, NH)

A mere 15 miles from the Residences at Daniel Webster, McIntyre Ski Area offers 200 feet of vertical and a nice spread of beginner and intermediate trails serviced by a pair each of Wonder Carpet lifts and double chairlifts. You’ve also got a terrain park up here to play around in.

Nashoba Valley Ski Area (79 Powers Rd, Westford, MA)

About a half hour south of is, Nashoba Valley Ski Area—a regional snowsports fixture since 1964, and one of the first ski areas in the country to welcome snowboarders—boasts 240 feet of vertical elevation and 17 runs, the longest of which is 1,400 feet; four chairlifts, two conveyors, and three rope tows translate to some robust uphill transport. Nashoba Valley’s 50-odd inches of annual snowfall come supplemented (like the other destinations here) with complete snowmaking coverage.

Mount Sunapee (1398 Route 103, Newbury, NH)

An hour or so northwest of the Residences at Daniel Webster lies the venerable Mount Sunapee Resort and its 1,513 feet of vertical. This major ski area—situated in lovely Mount Sunapee State Park—offers 66 runs and four terrain parks.

Pats Peak Ski Area (686 Flanders Rd, Henniker, NH)

Pats Peak Ski Area, which awaits you less than an hour northwest from your Residences at Daniel Webster home base, maintains nearly 30 trails (novice, intermediate, advanced, and expert) across its 770 feet of vertical, plus a trio of terrain parks. Those runs include “some of the longest and steepest pitches in Southern New Hampshire,” notes the ski area, also home to the most extensive night-skiing opportunities in the state.
